Summary

The JobASAP project, with project code 116663, is co-funded under Programme II “Development of Digital Products and Services”, Axis 2.3 “Digitisation of Businesses”, Action 16706 “Digital Transformation of SMEs”, of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0.
The project entails the development of a web platform — the JobASAP product — to be offered as a SaaS service, accessible via mobile applications (iOS and Android) and the web. It addresses the needs of a specific niche market: the real-time, fully automated supply, search, and matching of temporary and short-term work opportunities, leveraging AI/ML technology and a gamification-based loyalty methodology.
The JobASAP product will provide services:
  • To businesses or individuals (natural persons) seeking workers for a short period to cover urgent, immediately arising staffing needs (“job-givers”)
  • To individuals (natural persons), with or without professional experience, who wish to work immediately, in any location, for a short period — e.g. a few hours or days (“job-seekers”)
The platform is directed at businesses and individuals operating in markets directly or indirectly linked to tourism activity (hospitality, accommodation, lodging, events, etc.).

The project budget amounts to €600,000.00, and the public funding expenditure amounts to €301,500.00 (50.25%).

JobASAP — Brief Description of the Service / Product

JobASAP is an innovative digital service, accessible from mobile devices (iOS, Android) and the web, designed to address the needs of a specific niche market: immediate, short-term, and seasonal employment in sectors related to tourism.
The service acts as an intermediary between two categories of users:
  • Job Givers: Businesses or individuals seeking workers for a short period to cover urgent, immediately arising staffing needs.
  • Job Seekers: Individuals looking for flexible, short-term work — potentially without prior sector experience.
The core technological innovation of JobASAP is the automated, real-time matching of supply and demand, using AI/ML technology and a gamification-based loyalty methodology.
The platform is built on real-time matching algorithms that take into account both the worker’s skills and preferences as well as the employer’s requirements. Location proximity plays a key role in the matching process, implemented through PostGIS spatial queries.
Among its key innovative capabilities, the platform employs a recommendation engine built on Graph Neural Networks — specifically the GraphSAGE algorithm — which models user relationships as a graph structure and generates personalised job recommendations.
The platform further leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) for natural language processing, as well as AI-powered services (such as Amazon Rekognition and Comprehend) for automated content moderation.
Artificial intelligence is further applied to user identity verification through KYC processes and to the management of digital contracts. In parallel, the platform incorporates gamification and reward mechanisms aimed at fostering long-term user engagement and retention.
The JobASAP platform manages the entire employment lifecycle end-to-end: from posting a staffing need and matching supply with demand, to concluding an employment agreement, signing contracts, monitoring attendance, processing payments, and evaluating the collaboration.
